Many people take advantage of the opportunity to ski the Blackcomb glacier, usually open through the end of July, in the morning and then indulge in a round of golf or lounge in the sun around the lakes.

Whistler’s lakes and rivers offer magnificent fishing opportunities. On the lakes you can fly or spin cast from float tubes or from the shore; on the rivers you can fly, spin and drift gear cast while wading. The river systems hold resident populations of Trout and Dolly Varden Char, as well as seasonal runs of Salmon and Steelhead. The lakes are easily reached and hold Rainbow and Cutthroat Trout in addition to Dolly Varden Char..
